There are several ways to become involved with Champions for CASA. Consider becoming a CASA volunteer. A CASA volunteer is a trained community volunteer appointed by a juvenile court judge to speak for an abused or neglected child’s best interests. Volunteers must complete 30 hours of pre-service training, submit to screening and background checks, and be 21 years of age or older. You can find more information or apply at the CASA Las Vegas website.
You can help us with our goal of ensuring a CASA volunteer for every child by spreading the word. Do you have an employer who values volunteerism and social responsibility? We are happy to discuss the need at a company Lunch and Learn.
Are you with a company or organization that would like to support with in-kind donations of event tickets or items which Champions for CASA can use to recognize CASA volunteers? CASA volunteers and their kids love to go to restaurants, fun activities, and sporting events!
